There are many specialty programs available at every certificate level for those divers who are looking to expand their underwater experience. Due to these specialty programs, you can specialize in the fields of your interest. Moreover, you can expand your theoretical and practical knowledge on many important issues that will help you and other divers during your dives.

Specialty diver has completed the programs provided by authorized diving organizations in the education system of the Federation and has acquired a Specialty diver certificate accordingly. The authority and responsibility coming with each specialty are included in the course materials of each specialty program. Divers with a deep diving certificate can dive with equipment up to a maximum depth of 40 meters. With the air prepared by adjusting the oxygen ratio in the air to be used in nitrox dives (maximum 40% – EAN40), dives with equipment can be done to a maximum depth of 30 meters.

Participation requirements

• One * diver certificate is required to participate in first aid, altitude diving, wreck diving, underwater photography, underwater videography, peak performance buoyancy, equipment information and maintenance, and a specialty program in oxygen use.
• Two * diver certificate is required to participate in deep diving, night diving, current diving, navigation, search and rescue, enriched air (Nitrox), and cavity diving specialty programs.
• Three * diver certificate is required to participate in introductory diving and tube filling specialty programs.

Three * Divers;

• 3 * divers are skilled and experienced enough to lead other divers of all levels underwater.
• 3 * divers are responsible for ensuring that the divers they lead are diving following the safety rules.
• They have obtained the necessary knowledge about underwater rescuing and first aid and can apply it.
• When on duty, they are authorized to warn those who act illegally concerning diving rules, and prevent them from access to diving when necessary.
• They are responsible for the safety of the divers they lead.
• They are allowed to dive to a maximum depth of 30 meters.
• They are allowed to dive to a maximum depth of 42 meters for training purposes accompanied by a diving instructor.

When candidates fulfill the training requirements they are entitled to receive the CMAS Three * diver by TSSF badge together with an Deep Diver, Navigation, and Rescue Badge.

This course consists of two parts.

Theoretical part

This part is carried out in a classroom environment or online. It consists of eight courses covering small boat operation, navigation, underwater search and rescue, compressor usage, problem management, group diving organization, general physical-physiology overview, and general diving equipment overview.

Open water training

• A total of five dives are made together with the diving instructor.
• When candidates fulfill the performance requirements they are entitled to receive the CMAS Three* diver by TSSF badge.
• With this training, the participants will learn how to use the small boats, and how to organize and assist with group diving. They will gain and improve their deep diving, night diving, and rescue diving skills and they will learn how to use the compressors.

Requirements to attend the course

• Having no health condition which would prevent you from using the diving equipment,
• Signing a declaration prepared by the Turkish Underwater Sports Federation is required. This is a statement confirming you are healthy and you do not have health conditions that would prevent you from diving with the equipment,
• To own a Two * diver certificate or an equivalent certificate approved by the Federation,
• After acquiring a Two * diver certificate, carrying out at least 50 approved dives and documenting this with the dive log,
• To successfully complete at least a primary education,
• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Divers under 18 years are allowed to dive to the deep of 24 meters accompanied by a minimum of one other Three-star diver.
• Two-star divers are allowed to dive to a maximum depth of 42 meters for training purposes accompanied by a diving instructor.
• They are allowed to dive in the night.

When candidates fulfill the training requirements they are entitled to receive the CMAS Two-star diver by TSSF badge together with an Deep Diver Badge.

This course consists of two parts.

This course is divided on theoretical and practical part:

Theoretical part

Theoretical part is carried out in a classroom environment or online as one block of 8-10 hours.

In the theoretical part, you will learn about the underwater communication signals, how to put on your diving equipment, techniques to enter the water, what to pay attention to when breathing, how to use buoyancy balancer equipment, how to take the regulator for breathing out of your mouth and place it back, how to share air with your fellow divers, how to remove the water that has collected in your mask and how to place it back underwater, how to use your fins more efficiently, how to take off and re-fit your diving gear and weight belt above water and underwater, some basic first aid and rescue skills, on what to pay attention to in the dive boat, and how to take care for yourself and the environment underwater.

Practical Part

• You will have five one-on-one training dives with your dive instructor.
• When candidates fulfill the training requirements they are entitled to receive the CMAS One-star diver by TSSF badge.
• With this badge, you will be able to dive to the deep of 18 meters with an instructor or Three-star divers anywhere in the world.

Requirements to attend the course

• Having no health condition which would prevent you from using the diving equipment,
• Signing a declaration prepared by the TSSF is required. This is a statement confirming you are healthy and you do not have health conditions that would prevent you from diving with the equipment,
• Ability to swim,
• Must be at least 14 years old.
